Lauren & Brendan's Wedding Sneak Peek
Oswald House in Kirkcaldy was a new venue for us, for the wedding of Lauren and Brendan. The Owner and Events Manager both greeted us and gave us a tour of the rooms to be used for the wedding. We were delighted to see how much of the building was made available for the wedding, along with the grounds, and discovered that Lauren and Brendan had hired the venue as exclusive use, to allow greater enjoyment for their guests.
It was a hive of activity in the morning in Lauren's bridal suite, with Lynne Muir and Kirsty Suttie applying make-up to the bridal party and Katie and Simone styling the hair of Lauren and her supporting ladies.
The ceremony began with Jacqui McDonald, a celebrant from The Scottish Celebrants, announcing Brendan and his grooms woman and grooms men to enter the conservatory to light the candle of remembrance. Following this, Lauren was piped in with her father, accompanied by her bridesmaids and flower girls. The ceremony included some personal stories and elements of hand-fasting and sharing a drink from the quaich.
After the ceremony, the drinks reception was held in the garden where we took the formal family photographs.
In the dining room, speeches were given by Lauren's father, Brendan's best friend, his grooms woman, and then by Brendan himself, thanking the guests, and then the meal was served.
In evening, we took the happy couple outside for some portrait photographs in the grounds and then returned inside for some further portraits in the house itself. It wasn't long before the evening guests arrived and then the band Skyline played a mix of popular soft rock music, from the decades.
We left Lauren and Brendan and their guests to enjoy the rest of the evening, and we are sure that a fun night was had by all. We hope you enjoy these first dozen photographs from this fantastic wedding day.
